I think we can all honestly say that when 2020 began, we never thought that the year would turn out the way it did. A new decade full of promise and new beginnings was brought to screeching halt for many people by March.

Of the many things that we are grateful for, we are filled with gratitude for our patients who have continued to seek out chiropractic care as part of their solution for living life to the fullest. We thought it would be helpful to re-share our thoughts and ideas that made their way onto our blog this past year. Our the hope is that as we begin 2021, we will see it less as a new beginning, and more of a next step in our quest for wellness.

Diet and Fitness Tips for the New Year

Chiropractic care is often wellness care. Once you have been adjusted, we don’t think it’s a good idea to simply wait for the next crisis to seek follow up care. As with chiropractic care, fitness and nutrition play a critical component in maintaining our overall wellness. In this blog, we shared tips for finding balance in your fitness and nutrition that will support your wellness throughout the year.

A Simple Slip

It’s easy to seek out treatment when you have a broken arm, a sprained ankle, or any other visible injury. But what happens when your injury is not visible? What happens when you can’t even pinpoint the cause because the issue that caused the injury was seemingly insignificant? The fact is that a slip on the ice, even without a fall, can cause shifts that create problems down the road. As this blog highlights, regular chiropractic care can ensure that you are not setting yourself up for future pain as the result of a mis-alignment.

COVID -19 and Chiropractic Care

We continued to see patients throughout the year. Many of our patients in the early days of COVID were healthcare providers who were essential personnel.  We knew that the benefits of chiropractic care – nervous system optimization, immune function, and stress reduction – were critical for them to continue to be able to work in our “new” environment. This blog discusses how chiropractic care is a part of fighting COVID (and other viral illnesses) for all of our patients!

Good Posture=Good Brain Health

We started seeing patients come in with “new to them” issues. All of a sudden, we saw people experiencing headaches and more, and we quickly realized what the issue was: working from home, along with being more sedentary was impacting posture, which was impacting overall health. Although the effects of poor posture might manifest itself in physical pain, like headaches or back and neck pain, there is also an impact on performance and “brain health”. This blog explores why that is, and what you can do to maintain to better brain health!

COVID-19 and Nutrition: A Nutritional Game Plan

Like all viruses, to some extent we can control the impact that COVID-19 has on us. A robust immune-system, with a basically healthy foundation has a much greater chance of fighting off this disease than one that is compromised with other diseases. This blog shares how, even if you’ve been less than healthy in the past, focusing on specific nutrients can help to wither prevent or alleviate symptoms from COVID-19.

Calling All Allergy Sufferers

This year, as people were cooped inside, many experienced worse than normal allergy symptoms. We typically find that we need to address how and why chiropractic care can help to alleviate allergy symptoms; this year, we felt it was even more important!

Support Your Immune System –For Free!

All of the talk of immune system issues led to this blog which uncovered a couple of ways in which we can boost our immune system…just being outside boosts our body’s natural defenses and eating “real” nutrient-dense food can also help!

Have You Been Tested Lately?

Vitamin D has been proven to be essential to beating COVID-19, and it is one of the nutrients that seems to be lacking in a lot of people. Here we discuss why Vitamin D is critical and what you can do to boost your Vitamin D levels.
